Father's Day Slip-N-Slide

On Father's Day the weather was so hot that Scott decided to hook up the water feature on Eli's slide. Scott then bought some Visqueen to create a long slip-n-slide down our hill. Uncle Casey came over and the three "boys" had a blast playing. It was so funny to watch!

Saturday at Lake Wawasee

Yesterday we went to visit Grandpa and Grandma Joey at their Lake Wawasee condo. The weather was gorgeous....it even got to 80 degrees! We first went swimming in the pool. Eli was excited to show off his swimming skills. He did really well kicking to where he wanted to get to. Eli and Daddy then went on a jet ski ride. Mommy was VERY nervous about this, but I knew Eli would love it. We had a nice lunch and got to eat out on the balcony. Grandma Joey surprised Eli with ice cream cones for dessert....yum! We then ended our time there with a boat ride. The water was quite choppy due to the storms the day before, but it was nice to be out in the sun.

We even came home a little burnt! Eli also had a fun time dancing on the boat. Check out the video below. You can even see a few of Grandma Joey's moves, too. (We've got a better video of that, but promised it wouldn't go on here.) Eli was exhausted after our day and slept the whole car ride home. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Joey for letting us spend the day with you!

First Movie at the Theater

Friday night we met Brian, Missy, Lauren and Drew Pletcher at the movie theater. This was Eli's first time seeing a movie at the theater. We saw the movie "Up" which was 3-D, so we had to wear those funny glasses. Eli loved it! He actually did pretty well staying in his seat and watching the whole thing. I think all the popcorn really helped, too. "Up" was a very cute movie with a great message. I recommend it to all.

Camping....in the House

Daddy was hoping to camp outside with Eli this weekend for Father's Day. However, due to the rain (and not knowing where our large tent is) he just put up Eli's tent in the house instead. Eli loves going into it to play and hide out. Hope the weather will get nicer so they can still do the outdoor camping sometime.

Last Swimming Lesson of the Summer

Eli had a blast at swimming lessons. We really loved the Shepard's School. Eli is getting better at doing arm circles and kicking his legs....we'll need to keep practicing. Eli even swam under water for a bit! Eli's instructor, Jenny, said that she was impressed how Eli wasn't afraid and even would pick up his head to swim to her. Can't wait to sign up for next summer!!!

Today Cole came over to play while his mommy went to help out at his daddy's work. It was such a gorgeous day, so we had to play outside. Fun time!

Fun in Amish Country

On Thursday Eli & I went to Shipshewana with Lindsay & Cole Good. The boys had so much fun playing in the toy store, taking a carousel ride, and eating pretzels at JoJo's. Eli and Cole have so much fun together! Love their smiles!

Meeting Ethan Eddy!

On Wednesday, Eli and I went to Erin, Taryn & baby Ethan Eddy's house for a visit. This was our first time meeting Ethan...what a cutie! Eli and Taryn loved playing together with all of Taryn's toys, while Mommy and Erin had a great time chatting.

We had a great time with you! Thanks for letting us come over to play and meet Ethan! He's precious!

Swimming Lessons

Eli started swimming lessons this week at Shepard's Swimming School. So excited to see how much he improves!

AT Reunion

This May, Scott went on a hiking trip to the Appalachian Trails with Brad Smith, Scott Kidder and a few other guys from Indy. This past weekend they had a reunion with all the families in Indianapolis. It was so nice to meet everyone and see pictures and hear stories from the trip. Eli had a blast, too, playing with all the kids....especially Olivia and Grace!

The Pool is Open!

Last weekend we went to Grandpa and Grandma Joey's condo on Lake Wawasee. Even though the weather was a little cool, we ended up getting into the pool. This was the first time Eli wore arm floats and swam by himself. He did awesome! He seemed to feel very comfortable maneuvering around in the water. Next week Eli starts swimming lessons, so I'm so excited that he did so well.

Around lunch time Aunt Keli and the cousins all got there. Eli loves playing with his cousins. We had a nice lunch together, then ended up going to the pool again. Eli had a great time and all the swimming really wore him out. He slept the whole drive home. Fun day!

Little Cook

Eli loves the new play kitchen a the Farmer's Market. He pretends to cook (usually sausage) and loves pretending to use the condiments. So cute!
