Scary Moment at Kohl's

Friday night we went shopping at Kohl's. As Scott and I were looking at some artwork, we noticed that Eli was gone. I went one way calling for him and Scott went the other. I finally went to the front and asked for help. The security guard showed up right away and after walking around found him right away in the toy section. After having a talk with Eli about walking away the security guard offered Eli a tour of his office. Scott and Eli got to see all the security monitors. Eli was allowed to try and find me in the store on the video. Of course, they had to find me looking around in the underwear section! This was definitely a scary time, but ended up being a learning experience for all of us.

Indoor Soccer

Last week Eli started his indoor soccer clinic at the YMCA. Eli's buddy, Cole, is also on his team. Daddy and Cole's daddy, Chris, are the coaches of the seven 3 year olds. Lindsay and I had to laugh at the men try to control the kids. After about 30 minutes the kids struggled with following the directions and even staying on the court....and there was still 30 minutes left of practice! Scott and Chris had to start playing some games to keep the kids on track. They were all pretty cute! Eli really had a good time and he can't wait for next week's practice!

Sick Weekend

After we returned home from our trip to Nashville, TN Jayce became really congested. Next thing you know, Eli was sick, too. Both boys now are congested and have coughs, but even though they feel yucky they still are giving us some big, beautiful smiles! Hope they get better soon!

Visiting Nana

My sister and I had the opportunity to go to Nashville, TN for a weekend to visit our grandma. She has been having some problems and has been in a rehab facility. My dad bought our tickets and Keli and I flew with the babies (it was the first time the family got to meet them). It was so nice to get to spend that time with our aunts, uncles, cousins and Nana. We got to hear many past stories of Nana's life....had some good laughs and even some cries. It was such a special time! On our last day there Nana was finally moved out of the facility. So glad she's improving and able to be with family all the time now. We love you, Nana, and we're praying for you!!!!

Snow Play

Eli got to go over to his friend Drew's house to play on a snowy day. Drew and Eli had so much fun playing in the snow fort that Drew had made. When Eli got home, he couldn't stop talking about how much fun he had with his buddy. Thank you, Krause's, for letting Eli come over to play!

Let's Go to the Movies...

On Friday evening we met our friends, the Goods and the Kidders, at the theater so we could take Eli, Cole and Grace to see Alvin & the Chipmunks 2. Eli and Cole sat together and it was so fun to listen to them laugh at the movie. All the kids did a great job sitting through the movie. Eli did get a little antsy around the end, but the popcorn & Twizzlers really helped. Fun time and adorable movie!

After the movie we headed out in the snowy weather to the Kidder's house for dinner. This was my first time being to their new home. It's gorgeous!!! Grace got a bounce house for Christmas and the kids loved playing in it. Everyone was also very excited to get cookies and hot cocoa later in the evening. It was a late night for Eli, but it was well worth it! Thank you Kidders for having us in your home!

Jayce is Growing!

Jayce is growing so big! He's just like Eli was....around the 97th percentile on weight. This boy wants to eat and eat! Last week we were at the doctor and Jayce is already 14 lbs. 4 oz. I had to get out the 3-6 month clothes! Jayce is also smiling quite a bit now and stays awake more during the day. And for the last few nights he's been sleeping for a 4 1/2 to 6 hr. stretch (knock on wood)!!! Mommy is happy about that, too! Here's a few newer pictures...Enjoy!
