Kercher's Apple Orchard

On Sunday after church we went to Kercher's Apple Orchard with PawPaw and MeeMaw. The weather was beautiful, so it was a perfect day for apple picking. Eli loved it when Daddy would hold him up to pick an apple. He would giggle and say the leaves "tickled". After apple picking we went on a hayride out to the pumpkin patch. Eli helped pick out a large pumpkin and a small pumpkin (he called it a "baby pumpkin") to bring home. We ended our trip with some yummy apple cider...Eli loved the apple container it came in. It turned out to be a fun adventure!

A Night Out with the Kidders

Friday night we met Scott, Micki and Gracie Kidder for a yummy Mexican dinner at La Esperanza. Eli and Gracie had so much fun playing together and sharing food. We then headed to the Kidder's new house. It's going to be so beautiful! The framing is about done and it's coming along nicely. We ended our evening at Barnes and Nobles. Eli loved playing with the train table...it was hard to pull him away. Eli and Gracie both left with a new book! We had a wonderful time seeing the Kidder family & hope to see them again soon!!!

Date Night

Last Friday night Scott and I had a date night!!! Grandma watched Eli for us. We went to an early dinner at Bonefish...one of our favorite restaurants...Yum! We started our meal with the Bang Bang Shrimp, then had the house salad. Both Scott and I ordered something we had never had before for our main meal and we were both extremely happy that we did. Delicious! We finished off the meal by splitting a warm brownie & ice cream and some coffee. We had gift cards (from last Christmas) that made getting the bill more enjoyable (thanks Dad!).

We then headed to the theater. If you know Scott, he HATES going to the theater, so this really was a special night. We went to see "Fireproof" with Kirk Cameron. It's about a firefighter who starts a 40-day experiment called "The Love Dare" to try and save his marriage. Don't want to give anything away for those of you who haven't seen it. It was a really good movie with a powerful message, and I would recommend it to everyone.

Date night was lots of fun, and I hope we can do it again real soon!

Let's Go Irish!!!

Scott left on Monday to go to Rhode Island for work. Mommy & Eli weren't feeling the greatest, so we didn't do too much this past week while Daddy was away. On Tuesday night we went out to dinner with Grandpa & Grandma Joey, then went back to their house so Eli could play with their toys. They gave Eli a book titled "Let's Go Irish!" Eli loved it!!! When we got home Eli climbed in his chair and pretended to read it. He then had Mommy read it to him over and over. Thanks Grandpa & Grandma Joey!

On Wednesday I had to take a few pictures of Eli in his Alligator towel. He got this towel on his birthday from his best friend Drew. So cute!

Five Generations

Thursday night we went to MeeMaw & PawPaw's house for a dinner with MeeMaw's family. Her 94 year old grandma (Eli's great-great grandma) was in town. We had a delicious dinner and enjoyed the fellowship with family. This picture is of five generations!

Family, Trains, Ice Cream and.....Pigs???

On Tuesday MeeMaw & PawPaw brought ice cream over for all of us. Yum! They came over to visit with Eli. He really enjoyed playing trains with MeeMaw in his room.

Then, Uncle Casey came over to show Eli the pigs that he had bought. They sure pack a lot of them into those crates. So cute, but boy did they smell! Eli liked yelling "oink-oink" at them.

As he usually does, Eli stood at his bedroom window and waved bye-bye to everyone as they drove away. He loves visits from his family!

Eakins House for the ND Game

On Saturday we went to the Eakin's house to watch the Notre Dame game. We won't talk about that loss...ugly. Anyway, last year Eli was still a little too young to play with the kids, but this year he had a blast! He loved playing in the electric jeep and playing in the basement with all the cars & trucks. He was so funny yelling, "Go Irish!" over and over to everyone in the basement. As you can see from the pictures...like father, like son...Eli sure has a way with the ladies. All the girls loved him! Eli had a great time, as did we, with all of our friends.

Fun Fest

Our church, River Oaks, had an family day with lots of games, food, bouncing activities, and music. Eli had so much fun bouncing and going down the big slide. He didn't want to get off of it. We had some yummy food and enjoyed the fellowship with others.

Notre Dame Game...boy, they got lucky...

This year we have season tickets to the Notre Dame games! ND had their first game on Saturday against San Diego State. We went to the Kidder's house to tailgate. Kidders are renting a home near campus while their home is being built. It was a perfect location to hang out before the game. (Also, they were giving away free Chick-Fil-A sandwiches right across the street!) Our seats are across from the students section. They are really good seats! I got some good pictures from where we were. The game ended up being really disappointing. The Irish did not play well and were very lucky to come back and win in the 4th quarter. Hopefully, they'll get the kinks worked out for next week against Michigan! Good luck Irish!

Look what came today...

Eli loves Winne the Pooh, so I couldn't resist buying this cute outfit on Ebay. Thought he would enjoy playing dress up in it. Isn't he adorable?!
