What a Resemblance!

A friend made a few changes to one of our photos and I had to post it on here! So funny! Amazing how much they look alike!

Preschool Performance

Last weekend Eli's preschool had their end of the year performance during a church service. All month I had been asking Eli what he was singing and he'd just say, "I don't know." Then, the day of the performance I asked him and he said it was a secret, but then proceeded to tell me that he was playing the piano. This made me extremely curious because Eli doesn't know how to play the piano. Hmmm....

The preschool children entered the church and Eli had a huge smile on his face. Was so cute to see him with all the other little kids. They sang "This Little Light of Mine" and "Jesus Loves Me". Eli did a wonderful job singing, however, didn't do all of the hand motions...he was a little distracted with everything else going on. He was absolutely adorable! But, still don't know where the piano thing came from!

The Zoo is Open!

The Potowatomi Zoo opened a few weeks ago and we made our first visit last week with Lindsay & Cole Good. Of course, the first thing we did was ride the train...that's Eli's favorite part!!! The boys enjoyed walking around and seeing the animals. We even got to the lions just in time to hear one roaring...he didn't look too pleased with Eli ! It was still a little chilly, so some of the animals were not out yet, but I'm sure we'll return this summer to see them all!
Be careful, Eli, he looks a little hungry!

Outdoor Soccer

Eli has started 3 year old outdoor soccer through the YMCA at the Nibco Soccer Fields. Daddy is coaching again and this time has 10 kids on his team! It's adorable watching all these kids run around the field after the ball. And, Eli is improving!!!

Grilling Out with the Marrs

Last Friday night we had Anthony, Jen, Madison & Luke Marr over for dinner. We grilled out yummy chicken and veggies. After dinner we celebrated Luke's 3rd birthday with a delicious cake. The kids then played more while the adults had a little time to chat. Fun evening! Thanks, Marrs, for hanging with us!

My Girls

Last week Uncle Shawn called and wanted to take Eli to go see "How to Train Your Dragon" again. He was going to go with Shawn's girlfriend, Allison, and her nieces, Mallory & Madison. Eli was so excited to see the girls.....who he likes to call, "my girls". So cute! After the movie they headed to McDonald's and Eli came home with another toy dragon! He had such a great time! Thank you Uncle Shawn for including Eli in your fun evening!!!

MOD March for Babies 2010

Last Saturday was the MOD March for Babies in downtown Elkhart. We were walking again in honor of our good friends, Chris, Lindsay and Cole Good, who lost twins, Lia & Mason, over a year and a half ago to premature birth. Our team ended up raising over $2,400!!!! Awesome! It was an extremely cold day, but we enjoyed being with friends and helping in this important cause!

Girls' Night

For my birthday Scott bought me tickets to go see "Girls' Night" at the Morris Civic Theater. I was allowed to bring someone (because there was NO WAY Scott was going to go). I brought my high school friend, Amy Miller, knowing we would have a great time! The musical was about high school friends and was filled with lots of fun, girlie music! We had a blast hanging out with one another! Such fun!

Mommy/Son Date Night

This week Scott has been out of town, and since Eli has been sick, we've been cooped up inside most of the week. Since Eli seemed to be feeling a little better, I thought I could take him out to a movie and dinner. Grandma watched Jayce for me and I took Eli to see "How to Train Your Dragon". Eli loved it! Lots of excitement and some of the dragons were cute and funny. Half way through the movie Eli asked to sit on my lap. I could tell he wasn't feeling too well. (So glad we were there weren't many people in the theater). He didn't want to leave though, so we spent the last half of the movie cuddling...I loved it! Instead of going out to eat we just got some food and brought it back to Grandma's house. It was such a nice evening hanging just with Eli....don't get to do that much anymore. We'll have to have another Mommy/Son date night soon!

Sick Week

This week Eli has been so sick. At first I thought it was just allergies, but then it turned into a full blown cold with fevers and all. We've been spending a lot of time hanging out at home and watching movies. Even when he's not feeling the best, Eli still uses his creative mind and plays pretend. I love my little Boo! Hope he feels better soon!
