Sunny Day

On Monday we finally had a sunny day here in Elkhart. The temperature was about 60 degrees so we were outside most of the morning. Laura and Drew Krause came over to play outdoors on the swingset and in the sandbox. The boys had so much fun...it was very difficult to get them inside for lunch.

After Eli's nap, Daddy took Eli to OxBow Park to play. Eli got to play at the playground there and even climbed all the way to the top of the tower. (Glad I wasn't there to see that...I would have freaked!) He loved it!

It was such a beautiful day! Hope the weather continues to stay like this!

Lowe's Kid's Clinic Again

On Saturday Eli went to the Lowe's Kid's Clinic again. This time Chris, Lindsay and Cole Good were able to join us. The project was a tabletop basketball hoop. This project actually didn't take quite as long to put together. Within 20 minutes we were done, so we headed to Sam's, then out to lunch at Hacienda with the Goods. Was a fun morning!

Outside Play Time With Cole

Last Thursday Cole came over to play. Cole's mommy had work to do, so Cole came over to hang out with Eli. Eli and Cole had so much fun playing with cars & trains. It was nice enough outside that we were able to go play on the driveway. They loved driving around on the police car, the big wheel and the tricycle. They did really well with sharing. Being outside really got me excited for spring. Can't wait to play outside all the time!

Happy Birthday Drew!

Eli went to Drew's 3rd birthday party last Sunday. Eli loved playing with Drew and all the other kids. The kids then had chicken nuggets, french fries and carrots for lunch. Following, Drew had an awesome Cars birthday cake that his dad made. Yum! Eli had such a great time. He was wired when he got home, but eventually took his nap. (Mommy & Daddy took one, too.)

Happy Birthday Drew! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you!

March for Babies

The March of Dimes is an organization that is dedicated to improving the health of babies as well as preventing premature births. Coming up on May 2nd there is the March for Babies in Elkhart that Scott and I will be participating in. We will be walking with our friends Chris and Lindsay Good in honor of their twins Lia and Mason, who passed away about 6 months ago. I am encouraging you to support the cause and donate to the March of Dimes. Please keep the Good family in your prayers for a successful first walk for Lia and Mason. We appreciate all that you can do. Thank you.

Lowe's Kid's Clinic with Daddy

On Saturday, Scott took Eli to the Kid's Clinic at Lowe's. They met up with Scott & Grace Kidder and their family. In this clinic the kids were building a race car. Eli was so excited about this. When he got home, he was so proud of his car. He came home with goggles, an apron, a certificate, a patch and his car. Every time they attend another clinic Eli will get another patch to sew onto his apron. What a great activity for kids! Scott really enjoyed it, too, and hopes to bring Eli to the next one.

Pizza Night

This weekend I went to a women's retreat at our church, so Eli and Daddy got to play. Scott had a few activities planned for Eli. Friday night was pizza night. Scott bought all the ingredients to make a hand-made pizza. Eli loved helping smash the dough, play in the flour and put the ingredients on top. He even got caught eating some of the cheese. I was lucky to get to see the pizza being made, but didn't get to see the finished product. As you can see by the picture, it looked sooooo good.....why wasn't any saved for me?????
